I tried sending V-Bucks to my buddy and found out it's not possible. Just go with gifting items from the shop instead!

Nope, you can't send V-Bucks directly. Your best bet is to gift them skins or emotes from the Item Shop.

Sadly, you can't send V-Bucks directly to your friends. But you can gift them items from the Item Shop! Just make sure you have their Epic Games account added to your friends list.
