First up, gotta make sure your monitor actually supports 144Hz, or this is a no-go from the start. If it does, right-click on your desktop and select 'Display settings' then 'Advanced display settings'. From there, choose the monitor you're using for Apex, click on 'Display adapter properties', and hop into the 'Monitor' tab. There should be a screen refresh rate option - set that baby to 144Hz. Inside Apex Legends, set the game's video settings to Fullscreen, and disable V-Sync for the smoothest experience. Don't forget to check that your GPU's control panel isn't limiting your game's framerate too!

Pro tip: just crank the refresh rate in your display settings and disable V-Sync in Apex. Bam, should be as smooth as butter!

Honestly, setting Apex to 144Hz isn't gonna instantly make you a pro. What's key is practicing your shooting skills and knowing your legend's abilities inside out.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
