Easy peasy! Go to Settings > General > Personalization > My background > Custom image. Plug in a USB with your image, select it, and voilà!

Just upload your desired image to a USB drive, plug it into your Xbox Series X, and head to Settings > General > Personalization > My background > Custom image.
