Opening Spotify should automatically set you online. If you're stuck, go to 'Settings' and make sure 'Offline Mode' is turned off.
Guess what? Just DON'T turn on 'Offline Mode'.
From experience, I had to restart the app and it automatically set itself to online. Check that your internet connection is stable too.
