Setting a sudo password on your Steam Deck is simpler than scoring a headshot in your favorite shooter game! First, you'll need to switch your Steam Deck to Desktop Mode. Once you're there, open the Konsole terminal app. Type in 'passwd' and hit enter. The system will prompt you to enter a new password and then to retype it for confirmation. Boom - you've just set your sudo password, easy peasy!

LOL, just remember the sudo password you set. Unlike in games, there's no 'forgot password' option in real life.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
