Honestly, I tried using a controller once for Apex on PC and it's fine for casual play, but if you're looking to be super competitive, sticking with mouse and keyboard might be the way to go. Controller aim assist helps, but M&K accuracy is hard to beat.

Getting your controller ready for some Apex Legends action on PC is actually pretty straightforward! First up, make sure your controller is connected to your PC - you can use USB for a wired connection or Bluetooth for wireless. Once it's connected, launch Apex Legends. The game is super controller-friendly and should automatically recognize your controller. You'll see the button layout switch to controller mode in the game settings. And that's it, you're ready to jump into the action! If you're using a less common controller and it's not recognized right away, you might need to dive into the Steam Big Picture mode or use a third-party tool like DS4Windows for PlayStation controllers.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
