How to Set Up a Controller on Steam
QuestioningVale路7 months agoSetting up a controller on Steam is super easy! First, plug in your controller to your PC using a USB cable or connect via Bluetooth. Then, open Steam and go to the 'Big Picture Mode' (the controller icon near the top-right corner). In Big Picture Mode, navigate to 'Settings' > 'Controller Settings' and check the box for the type of controller you're using (PS, Xbox, generic, etc.). Steam will recognize the controller, and you can customize the buttons if you want. And boom, you're ready to game!

Actually, sometimes using a controller on Steam can be a pain. I had to download third-party software for my non-standard controller because Steam didn't recognize it right away. So, it's easy for the most part, but be ready for some troubleshooting if you're not using mainstream hardware.
Just plug it in lol. Steam does most of the work for you.
