Setting up RetroArch on the Steam Deck is pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it. First, you'll need to install RetroArch. You can do this by using the Discover software center available in desktop mode on the Steam Deck. Simply search for RetroArch, install it, and boom - you're halfway there! After installation, launch RetroArch, and you might want to download some cores (which are essentially emulators for different platforms) through RetroArch's online updater. Finally, add your game files to the RetroArch's directory, and you're all set to enjoy your retro games!

Honestly, you're better off keeping your Steam Deck for Steam games. Retro gaming is cool and all, but the Deck shines with the latest titles. Just my two cents.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
