Then, open Steam and click on the 'Steam' menu in the upper left corner, choose 'Settings,' and then click on the 'Controller' tab. Click 'General Controller Settings' and you'll see a list of controller options you can configure. Make sure to check the box that corresponds to your controller type. For wireless controllers, you may need a Bluetooth connection or a wireless adapter. After that, just follow any on-screen instructions to finish setting it up and you're good to go!

Just plug it in and Steam pretty much handles the rest. If it's wireless, make sure your PC's Bluetooth is on or you have the right dongle plugged in. Then, hit Big Picture mode on Steam for an even smoother setup.
Tried setting up a controller once and it didn鈥檛 work, had to update the controller firmware first. Always check for updates if it's not connecting right away!
