Short and sweet: Plug the dongle into your PC, launch Steam in Big Picture mode, and let the system recognize your controller. Dive into 'Controller Settings' to tweak it just right.

Use the cable, guys. Wireless is cool and all, but wired connections have that unbeatable reliability. Just my two cents after a year of using the Steam Controller.

Setting up your Steam Controller is like a quest in your favorite RPG, but way easier. First, plug in the included USB dongle to your PC for a wireless connection or use a micro USB cable for a wired connection. Then, launch Steam and enter Big Picture mode鈥攖here's a controller-shaped icon in the top-right corner to guide you. Steam should automatically recognize your controller. From there, you can customize button mappings to your heart's content by selecting 'Controller Settings' under the 'Settings' menu. Happy gaming!

Honestly, the real game starts in setting up your controller. Had to fiddle with the settings in Big Picture mode to get it just right. But once you do, it's smooth sailing. Make sure to customize your control schemes for the best experience!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
