Just sell 'em. If you're not into long-term commitments with your Pals, or if you've got duplicates, you can always sell them to other players for Pal Points. It's another way of sharing, with benefits!
I've traded Pals with my brother, and it's super easy. Just make sure you're both online at the same time and in the game. The trading process is straightforward from there. Made our own little Pal trading system to get the ones we wanted.
TBH, just keep 'em all. Why share when you can have an army of Pals?
