Just hit the R1/RB button, dude. That's your magic shield right there.

Protip from a fellow wizard: mastering the Protego spell (aka your shield) is a game-changer, especially during duels. Got ambushed by a bunch of dark wizards and thought it was game over for me. Popped that shield up just in time, and boy, did it turn the tide. Practice your timing, and you'll be invincible!

Shielding in Hogwarts Legacy is super easy once you get the hang of it! All you gotta do is press and hold the right bumper (RB) on Xbox, R1 on PlayStation, or the corresponding key you've set it to on PC. It'll cast Protego, giving you that sweet magic shield to block incoming spells. Remember, timing is key, so practice up!

Actually, I barely use the shield. Offensive spells and dodging work better for me. Keep moving and keep casting!

If you're a Hogwarts Legacy player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
