Shield surfing in Tears of the Kingdom is just as epic as it sounds! First up, make sure you've got a shield equipped. Then, while standing on a slope (because physics still applies in Hyrule), hold the ZL button to raise your shield. Now, jump with X and while you're airborne, press the A button. Boom! You're surfing! Just remember, it's not just for looking cool; it's also super handy for getting down mountains fast or escaping baddies.

Just press ZL to hold your shield, then jump and hit A. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

Not to be that guy, but shield durability is a thing. Sure, surfing down a mountain might look cool, but say goodbye to your shield if you overdo it. Just something to think about before you go full surfer dude in Hyrule.

If you're a Legend of Zelda player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
