Timing is everything! Hold the right stick back, and release it at the top of your player's jump for a money shot.
Honestly, just practice in the 2KU mode till you get the hang of the shot meter. Perfect practice makes perfect!
Pro tip: Choose a player with a high shooting rating. Makes getting those greens much easier. Trust me, makes all the difference!
