Honestly, just use the Clentaminator. It's by far the easiest way to deal with corruption. Just spray everywhere, and boom, problem solved.

I've actually had good luck planting Hallow near the corruption. It doesn't 'remove' it, but it stops the spread since Hallow and Corruption can't overlap. It's like fighting fire with fire, but with pretty rainbows instead of spooky purple stuff.

Slowing down corruption in Terraria is all about prevention and control. First up, dig some wide trenches around the affected areas. These should be at least 6 blocks wide to prevent the spread. Sunflowers can also help slow the corruption near the surface. For those deep underground adventures, using the Clentaminator with Green Solution from the Steampunker NPC can cleanse large areas quickly. Also, don't forget about creating physical barriers like lining your trenches with non-corruptible blocks, such as clay or bricks, to further prevent the spread!
