Honestly, collecting enough Acid is the real challenge in smelting. Once you've got that, the rest is pretty much clicking a few buttons at the Chemistry Station. I remember this one time I was so focused on gathering ores that I totally forgot about Acid. Ended up with a mountain of ore and nothing to do with it till I raided a Super Mutant camp for their supplies. Good times.
Smelting ore in Fallout 76's a breeze! First off, make sure you've got the ore you wanna smelt. Then, head to a Chemistry Station. Once you're there, open up the crafting menu, and navigate to the 'Smelting' tab to find the ore you've collected. You'll need some Acid to break down the ore into usable materials, so make sure you've stockpiled some of that gooey goodness. Select the ore, have enough Acid, and voila, you're smelting! It's like a post-apocalyptic bake-off.
