Just throw everything in one big chest and call it a day. Life's too short to sort.
I spent hours getting my chests sorted. My tip? Use the 'Quick Stack' feature to easily move items from your inventory to the chest where those items already exist. Saves a ton of time and keeps things neat without much effort. Also, remember that you can craft or find different colored chests, which I use as a color-coding system for different categories of items!
