Honestly, best way is the Suspicious Looking Eye. I crafted mine after farming lenses from those pesky Demon Eyes. Felt really prepared when I summoned it. Just make sure it's night, or it'll despawn. Happy hunting!
Spawn the Eye of Cthulhu by crafting a Suspicious Looking Eye at a Demon or Crimson Altar using 6 Lenses. You can also wait for the Eye of Cthulhu to spawn naturally if you have over 200 health, 10 defense, 3 NPCs, and it's night time. Remember, it only spawns in the overworld at night, so make sure you're ready to fight as soon as it gets dark!
