To spawn the Truffle, the Mushroom NPC in Terraria, you need to create an above-ground Glowing Mushroom biome. First, get yourself some Mushroom Grass Seeds from chopping down Glowing Mushrooms in an underground Mushroom biome. Next, plant those seeds on Mud Blocks in a spacious area above ground. You'll know you've done it right when the area transforms and begins to look all glowy and mushroomy. The Truffle will move in once there's a house available in this biome for him to live in. Remember, he's a bit picky; the biome needs to be really mushroomy, covering enough surface area (about 100 tiles of Mushroom Grass and Mushrooms).

Creating a mushroom biome for the Truffle seems like a lot until you realize you can use the NPC for unique items. Totally worth the effort!

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
