Super simple! To spectate your friends in Apex Legends, first, make sure you're in the same lobby. Then, after they join a game and you're still in the lobby, you should see an option to 'Watch Game' on your friend's banner. Click it and you're in! Sometimes the option takes a few seconds to appear, so give it a moment.

Nah, you guys got it all wrong. You gotta be in your friend's lobby first. Only then can you see the spectate option. It's not about just clicking and watching. You gotta be part of the squad, kinda, but not in the game. It's complicated but works.
Actually, u can't just hop in and spectate whenever you want. You have to be in the lobby with them and wait till they're in a game. Then, and only then, does the magic 'Watch Game' button appear. It's a bit of a wait, but hey, better than nothing!
