On Android, just open Pokemon GO, then swipe up to the Recent Apps, tap the app icon, and select 'Split screen.' Boom, multitasking!

For Android, go to Recent Apps, tap the app icon for Pokemon GO, and select 'Split screen.' For iOS, unfortunately, official split-screen support isn't available.
