How to Spot a Fake Funko Pop

First off, check the box! Legit Funko Pops have clear, sharp printing and you'll usually find a serial number at the bottom or on the foot of the figure. Fakes, on the other hand, often get sloppy here – blurry text, weird colors, and sometimes no serial number at all. Also, pay close attention to the figure itself; the paint job on a genuine Funko Pop is neat and within the lines, whereas fakes often have smudges or overpainting. And let's not forget the weight - real Funko Pops have a certain heft, while fake ones often feel lighter.

I bought what I thought was a rare Pop from a dude online, and boy did I learn the hard way. The paint was a dead giveaway – it looked like it was done by a 5-year-old in art class. Plus, the box looked like it had been printed on a home printer. Now I always make sure to ask for detailed photos and check the packaging and figure closely before buying.

Just weigh it, lol. If it feels like a feather, it's probably fake.

If you're a Funko Pop player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
