Honestly, the whole shadowless hype is overblown. Yeah, they're rare, but good luck finding one that's not super overpriced. Just enjoy the game and collect what you like.

Spotting a shadowless Pokemon card is kinda like finding a treasure chest in your grandma's attic. First off, look at the bottom right corner of the image box. If it's missing the shadow effect that's usually there, congrats, you鈥檝e got yourself a shadowless card! These babies are from the early print runs of the Pokemon TCG and are super rare and valuable. Also, check the printing date; if it鈥檚 from 1999, you might be holding onto a piece of history!

You just gotta check for the shadow, man. No shadow on the right side of the image box = shadowless. Simple as that. They're old school and rare, so if you find one, you've hit the jackpot.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
