Technically, you can't start a gym. You can only conquer existing ones and defend them.

First, find a gym on the map. Then, engage in battles with the current defenders. Once you beat them, you can place your own Pokemon there.

You can't 'start' a gym in Pokemon GO, but you can certainly take over one! Find a gym on your map, battle the defending Pokemon, and if you win, you can claim it for your team.

I took over my first gym by finding a weakly defended one and using my strongest Pokemon. It was thrilling to see my Pokemon standing proud on the gym!

If you're a Pokemon GO! player looking for extra PokeCoins or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Pokemon GO! essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
