To start the Martian Madness event in Terraria, you need to first defeat the Golem boss in the Lihzahrd Temple. After that, you've gotta find a Martian Probe, which randomly spawns in the outer two-thirds of the map, mostly above ground. Don't destroy it! Let the Martian Probe notice you and escape; that's your golden ticket to starting the Martian Madness event. Good luck, and prepare for a challenge!

Honestly, finding the Martian Probe is a pain. Spent hours just flying around hoping one would appear. But once you get it to spot you, it's totally worth it for the event!

Just wait for a Martian Probe to spot you, then let it fly away. Simple as that.
