Starting a new mission in GTA 5 is all about finding the right icon on your map. Look for question marks or letters, these usually represent missions. Walking into the yellow circle that appears when you're close enough will kick things off. Also, try switching between characters, some missions are character-specific!

Just drive around and wait for a call or text in-game, that's usually how new missions pop up. Or hit up the question mark icons on your map, can't miss 'em.
