For a more permanent solution, go to their profile, click on 'Friends,' then 'Edit Friend List,' and add them to your 'Restricted' list. They'll only see public posts.

Super easy! Just go to the post, click on the three dots, and select 'Edit audience.' Choose 'Friends except...' and select the friend you want to exclude.
