How to Stop Corruption Spread in Terraria
Stopping the spread of Corruption in Terraria is crucial, especially in hardmode! The best way is to dig a trench at least 6 blocks wide around the area you want to protect. Nothing can cross this gap, stopping the spread. Sunflowers can also prevent the spread pre-Hardmode, so don't forget those! For an extra layer of protection, line your trenches with Clay or any non-corruptible block. If all else fails, use the Clentaminator from the Steampunker NPC with Green Solution to cleanse the area.

Honestly, just use the Clentaminator. It's the fastest and easiest way to get rid of Corruption. Remember, fighting Corruption is a never-ending battle in Terraria!
Purification Powder from the Dryad works too, for early game efforts. But yeah, trenching is the way to go for a long-term solution.
