How to stop corruption spread in Terraria
TabulatingMadam路8 months agoEasiest way? Sunflowers at first for a quick fix, they stop the grass from spreading the corruption. But once you're ready for the big guns, use the Clentaminator. It's like a corruption eraser! Just spray the solution wherever you see the purple nastiness. Also, don't forget about creating physical barriers. Digging a trench at least 6 blocks wide all the way to the underworld can keep it from crossing over. Some folks use bombs to make the process faster. Happy cleaning!

Just dig a big hole around it, like really big. Corruption can't jump gaps larger than 3 blocks, so make it 6 to be safe. It's the Minecraft lava strategy but for Terraria.
Honestly, why bother? The corruption adds a nice challenge, and you get unique items from it. Embrace the chaos, I say!
Barriers are the way. I spent a weekend building them around my base and key areas. Took forever, but no more corruption creeping into my backyard. Make them out of something it can't corrupt, like clay or bricks, and you're golden.
