First off, try the classic turn-it-off-and-on-again method. Restart your Xbox One. Sometimes that's all you need to do to fix freezing issues. If that doesn't work, check for any updates for Fallout 4 or your Xbox system. Developers regularly release patches to fix bugs and glitches. Another tip is to clear your Xbox One's cache. To do this, press and hold the power button until the console shuts down, then unplug it for a few minutes before plugging it back in and restarting.

Let's not forget the good ol' game reinstall. If the game keeps freezing, uninstall Fallout 4 and then reinstall it. It can be a pain because of the download size, but sometimes corrupted game files are the culprits. Make sure your saves are backed up first, though!

Honestly, just get a PC. Fallout 4 on Xbox One is a lost cause.

I had this problem, and clearing the cache like suggested above worked wonders for me. Also, make sure your game and console are up to date with the latest patches and updates. Keeping everything current can really help reduce freezing and crashing.

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
