Just throw the Clentaminator at it with Green Solution. It's like the 'undo' button for Hallow spread.
Stopping the Hallow in Terraria is a bit of a project, but totally doable. First off, dig a trench at least 6 blocks wide all around the affected area. Nothing can cross this gap, so it acts like a barrier. If you're feeling extra, you can also fill these trenches with a non-corruptible block like clay. For an immediate solution, use the Clentaminator with Green Solution to purify the land. It's like giving your world a shower from all that sparkly Hallow madness.
Sunflowers. Lots and lots of sunflowers. I read somewhere they stop the evil biomes from spreading, so maybe they slow down the Hallow too?
