Had the same issue, and what worked for me was updating my graphics card drivers and making sure Terraria was allowed through my firewall. It's like the game was struggling to communicate efficiently before that. Also, playing on servers closer to my location helped reduce lag big time when playing multiplayer.

Experiencing lag in Terraria can be super frustrating, but there are a few fixes you can try out! First, make sure your computer meets the game's minimum system requirements. If it does, try lowering the graphics settings in the game's menu; often, turning off frame skip or reducing the lighting and quality settings can help. Also, close other programs running in the background to free up your computer's resources. If you're playing online, a wired internet connection might give you a more stable experience than Wi-Fi.

If you're a Terraria player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
