First, make sure your PS5 is connected to a strong and stable internet connection, ideally via an Ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi. Also, close any background apps or downloads that might be hogging bandwidth.
One quick solution I found: switch from a wireless to a wired connection if possible. It made a huge difference in reducing lag for me.
Hot take: Maybe it's the game and not the PS5. Some games just aren't optimized well. Try playing a different game and see if the lag persists.
