First, check your internet connection. Slow Wi-Fi can cause major lag. Try using a wired connection for a more stable experience.
If those don't work, clear your system cache by turning off the PS4 completely, then holding the power button until you hear two beeps. This can sometimes help with performance.
Don't forget to check your game disc or delete and reinstall digital games if they're corrupted. A bad install can lead to lagging issues too.
