Stopping a recording in GTA 5 is pretty straightforward. If you're using a controller, simply holding down the D-pad Left for a couple of seconds should do the trick. It's like telling your console, 'Hey, that's enough fame for today.'

Holding down D-pad Left is the official way to stop recording. But, if you're in the heat of the moment, accidentally starting a new recording is way too easy. I learned to double-check if I actually stopped the recording or just made things worse.

Quick tip: just tap the D-pad Left briefly. Holding it down starts a new recording, which is the opposite of what you want.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
