Actually, sometimes tapping doesn't work if the game glitches (happened to me). If that happens, try opening the Rockstar Editor from the pause menu and exit out. Should stop the recording for you.

Just hit F1 on PC. That's it. No frills.

Stopping recording in GTA 5 is super easy! Just quickly tap the button you used to start the recording. On PlayStation, it's usually the 'Down' button on the D-pad. For Xbox players, you'll want to tap the 'Down' on your D-pad as well. PC gamers, just hit the 'F1' key. Remember, it's all about a quick tap; holding it down might start playback instead.

Lol, just stop pressing buttons randomly, and you won't even have to worry about stopping it. ?‍♂️

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
