Another trick is to right-click the game shortcut and find the 'target' field. Add "-noSteam" at the end of the target path (make sure there's a space before the dash). This can work for some games to bypass Steam at startup.

To stop Steam from automatically opening when you launch a game, you can try setting the game to launch in offline mode. First, start Steam and go to 'Steam' > 'Go Offline...' Then, restart Steam and launch your game. This should let you play without Steam popping up every time.

Honestly, just let Steam run. It's designed to be a part of the game's launch process for a reason. Not only does it manage updates, but it also keeps your game saves and settings synced. Trying to bypass it might cause more hassle than it's worth.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
