Short & sweet: Steam Settings > Downloads > Uncheck 'Allow downloads during gameplay'. Game on and download on!

Get Steam gift cards by playing games on Playbite

Really easy fix here: Go to Steam > Settings > Downloads and just uncheck the box next to 'Allow downloads during gameplay'. Voila! Steam will now bravely download in the background while you're beating your high scores.

I heard some folks saying just let your downloads run and don't play games. But where's the fun in that? Do both! Just change the setting in Steam to keep downloads going even when you're in-game. Trust me, it's a game-changer.

Honestly, I just pause my game if the download is super important. Otherwise, tweak the settings. Your call.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
