The Outer Worlds doesn't have a traditional storage system like some other RPGs. Instead, you can carry what you need and sell or break down the rest. The good news is your companions can hold items for you too!
I kept a bunch of items on the ship but found out your companions are actually great pack mules. Make them carry the heavy stuff!
