Honestly, I think it's better to use a dedicated streaming software like OBS or XSplit. Gives you more control over your stream, like adding overlays and tweaking audio settings. Streaming directly through Steam is fine for casual stuff, but if you're serious about streaming, go with something more powerful.

Streaming Steam games is pretty easy and fun! First, make sure you've got the Steam client installed on your computer. Then, dive into the 'Steam' menu on the top left, click 'Settings', and head to the 'Broadcasting' tab. From there, adjust your settings to your liking, like privacy options and video quality. Once you're all set, just start playing a game and Steam will take care of the rest. Your friends can watch by visiting your Steam profile or if you've shared the stream link with them.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
