I once subjugated an entire faction by defeating their armies and capturing their settlements. After a decisive victory, the 'Subjugate' option popped up. They became my vassals and always paid tribute. Victory tastes sweet!
Why subjugate when you can just conquer? Just kidding鈥攁fter smashing your enemies in battle, go for 'Subjugate' instead of 'Loot & Occupy.'
You need to defeat the enemy in battle and then choose the 'Subjugate' option instead of 'Occupy' or 'Sack' when prompted. Works best with factions of the same race!
