Just use the Mechanical Eye at night. Don't overthink it. But, uh, don't do it right before sunrise, or you'll be in for a nasty surprise when they despawn.

Summoning the Twin Eyes in Terraria is all about getting your hands on a Mechanical Eye. To craft it, you need 6 Lenses, 5 Iron Bars (or Lead Bars, whatever you've got more of), and 3 Souls of Light. Craft it at a Mythril or Orichalcum Anvil. Once you've got it, just wait for night and use the Mechanical Eye. But hey, make sure you're ready for a fight - the Twins are no joke!
Did it once, totally forgot to prepare properly. Result? Disaster. Make sure you've got good armor and weapons. Also, potions. Lots of potions. Trust me, you'll need them.
