To switch characters mid-battle in Tales of Vesperia, just press the D-pad left or right to select a different character. Super simple and super useful!
Just press the D-pad on your controller. Nothing fancy, just effective.
From personal experience, I find holding the LB button and flicking the right stick to be the fastest way to switch characters. Saves me every time!
