Turn on the Xbox 360. Press the Guide button on the new controller until the lights start flashing. Hit the connect button on the console (next to the memory card slots) and then the connect button on the controller. Voilà, you're good to go!

I used to swap controllers all the time for different games. Just hit the sync button on both the console and the controller. Easy peasy!

Basically, you power on the system and the new controller, hit the sync buttons on both, and bam! New controller paired.
