How to Switch Leaders in State of Decay 2
You’ll need to demote your current leader first. Go to the Community tab, select the leader, and hit the 'Demote' button. After that, find your new leader and promote them!

Just demote your current leader from the Command Center and choose someone else to take over. Simple as that!
To switch leaders, go to the Command Center, demote the current leader, and promote another survivor from the Community tab. I did it countless times without any issues!
Easy-peasy! Just approach your Command Center, go to the Community tab, and demote your current leader. Then, select a new survivor to promote!
