It's a bit tricky, but you can try resetting the controller by pressing the reset button on the back with a paperclip. Once you do that, turn on the PS3 and press the PS button on the controller. It might sync up wirelessly.

Honestly, without a USB cable, it's going to be really tough. The PS3 isn鈥檛 known for easy wireless syncing. I鈥檇 recommend just getting a cheap cable.

I've tried this before, and it worked: hold the PS button and the share button at the same time until the lights start flashing. Your PS3 should recognize the controller after that.
