First, you'll need a small Phillips screwdriver, a Torx T10 screwdriver, and a flathead screwdriver. Unplug everything and remove the hard drive cover. Then, unscrew the screws on the outer casing and carefully lift off the top cover. Remember to stay organized with your screws and parts!

Start by removing the hard drive cover and the blue screw underneath. Then, use a Torx T10 screwdriver to remove the screws around the case. Finally, use a flathead to pop the tabs and lift off the top cover. Voila!

Honestly, these things are beasts to take apart. Make sure you have your screwdrivers handy and follow a YouTube tutorial. You'll need patience and a steady hand!

I took apart my PS3 fat last weekend; it's like a Lego project for grown-ups. Unplug, unscrew, and take lots of pics to remember where everything goes. Have fun!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
