First, you'll need a Torx screwdriver set. Unplug your Xbox and remove the screws on the back and bottom. Pop the case open carefully, and remember where everything goes so you can put it back together!

I've done this a few times. Remove the screws on the bottom, pop the case off, and disconnect the components one by one. Remember, it voids your warranty!

First, grab a Torx screwdriver set. Start by removing the screws on the bottom of the Xbox, then carefully open the case. Be gentle with the internal components, and note where each screw and piece goes!

Just use the right tools and follow a guide. Pretty straightforward.

Hot take: maybe just don't take it apart if you don't know what you're doing.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
