Just a heads up, taking apart your Xbox One controller might void your warranty. But if you're still keen, get a Torx T8 screwdriver and carefully unscrew the five screws hidden under the stickers and the battery compartment!

Honestly, you just need a Torx T8 screwdriver and a prying tool. Unscrew and pry gently. Done it a dozen times, never an issue!

First, grab a Torx T8 security screwdriver. You'll need to unscrew the screws hidden under the battery and behind the back panels using that. Gently pry off the back panels with a prying tool, and voil脿!

Five Torx T8 screws, a prying tool, and some patience. Easy peasy!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
