Taking apart a Hot Wheels car is like disassembling a tiny fortress, but it's doable with patience. Start by finding the rivets on the bottom of the car. You'll need to drill these out carefully. A small drill bit, about 1/16 inch, works best. Once you've removed these rivets, the car should come apart easily. Just be gentle – you don't want to damage the interior or the wheels!

I've taken apart dozens of these cars for custom projects. You'll need a drill, patience, and a steady hand. After drilling the rivets, the body lifts right off. Easy peasy, but take it slow to avoid damage.

Want a hot take? Just smash it! But seriously, if you value the car or plan to customize it, don't do that. Drilling out the rivets is the way to go. It's less destructive and lets you put the car back together if you want.
